This webpage is dedicated to design information and shows various photos and video clips of my custom modified 1999 Mercury Cougar.

It has been nicknamed "Excelcier" and I am Ron Zlotnik, the owner and designer of all modifications on this vehicle ( with some design / aid from my wife ).

Except for some minor bodywork, all modifications to this vehicle have been made exclusively by me

including 5 different unique vehicle lighting circuit designs that I am thinking about pattenting.

Personal Objective

                    "Fun and creativity that is unique and makes people look twice".   I try hard to create as many original and unique ideas on my car

               as possible so that I do not have "just another clone car" like everyone else does.  It is the primary reason I chose the Cougar over

               another Focus, Mustang or a Honda as there are too many of them that are modded.  I wanted a car that was challenging and in

               low volume so I could be more creative and surprise people.

Cosmetic / Lighting / Electronics

   - Aerogear Milenium 8 piece Wide Body kit

   - Aerogear Porsche Boxter rear vents

   - Aerogear Z3 Fenders

   - Unique custom styled paint job designed by Matt Cerins – 2 tone Blue ( Royal Blue Metallic + Ice Blue Pearl ) with a blue pearl clearcoat.

   - Painted calipers

   - 'No Limit ' front grill with custom grill

   - Vtech headlight covers modified and painted

   - Redesigned headlight configuration / painting and blue lighting accents added with "angel eyes"

   - Custom designed hood scoop modified from Visteon

   - Smoked sidemarkers with blue bulbs

   - Visteon spoiler

   - Painted and custom styled taillights

   - Rear backup camera installed in taillights

   - Silver tinted windows with custom blue tinted flames

   - Added custom blue interior illumination ( replaced 100% of stock green interior lighting )

   - Streetglow pedals

   - Custom molded dashboard

* - Headlight flashers ( 4 position wig wags )

* - Sequential taillights microprocessor controlled for signals, hazards, braking and night glow-off mode

* - LED Strobe lights in "Backup" lights

* - Microprocessor controlled patterned blue trunk lighting

* - LEDs installed in trunk pillars that are microprocessor controlled.

* - LED strobing 3rd brake light

   - Exterior accent lighting behind grills ( Z3 sides and No Limit front )

   - LED replacement tail lights

   - Replaced "Mercury" emblem with cougar-head emblem

   - Brushed aluminum diamond plated mats

   - Custom installed Lincoln OEM Navigation / touchscreen / voice-activated / DVD system

   - Engine bay blue accenting / painting / hoses / styling

   - Blue leather shifter and E-brake boots

   - Added blue LED lighting accents to door panels and center console

   - Door panels redone with blue vinyl and blue paint accents added on doors

   - Blue LED lighting accents and blue painting on glove box

   - Redline Tuning hood lift kit installed

   - Polished aluminum components underhood

   - Blue accenting underhood
